Description
The Fortinet FortiGate 140D-POE is a high-performance Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) designed for small to medium-sized businesses, branch offices, and distributed enterprise networks. It combines firewall protection, intrusion prevention (IPS), VPN, antivirus, web filtering, application control, and advanced threat protection into a single rackmount appliance.
Equipped with 16 Power over Ethernet (PoE) Gigabit Ethernet ports, multiple Gigabit interfaces, and dedicated SFP ports, the FortiGate 140D-POE simplifies network deployment by powering compatible devices such as IP phones, wireless access points, and surveillance cameras directly through Ethernet. Hardware acceleration using Fortinet's FortiASIC technology delivers high-performance security while maintaining low latency. The model has since reached End of Life (EOL) and is no longer supported with firmware updates, making it most suitable for legacy environments rather than new deployments.
